I want to track my progress with photography as I practice, and like the true (elder) gen z that I am I figured posting it all online was the way to go. So here's a blog, I guess?
Today we went to the local park. The sun was high and shining bright but I went ahead and practiced anyway because the sun doesn't scare me! I knew shooting directly into it wouldn't light my subject very well, and the green in the grass would wash out the skin tones, but I went ahead and took the pictures and a couple actually looked kind of cool in my opinion.
I noticed as I uploaded these that they are mostly in portrait for some reason, not sure why I'm so averse to landscape ratios...
I'm trying to learn how to make color grading edits look consistent. It truly baffles me for some reason. Some are too cool, and some are too warm, but the warms look similar and the cools look similar so I feel like I'm on the right track.
Overall, I'm pretty happy with how these turned out.
I'm definitely still trying to find a style that I like, and how to make the camera do what I want so I don't have to do so much post processing. I keep learning more everyday!
(Baby liked the swing, it was just making him very sleepy)
